busy busy weekend ^_^

This weekend was wonderfully hectic, and fun, but yours truly is now paying the price. Soooo tired =____+

Anyway, Saturday was the Midwestern Festival, where all the singaporeans from the universities in the MidWest meet up to play some sports together. It was so wonderful to meet old friends again!!! Especially some whom I suspect I probably won't be seeing for awhile. *sigh*

Sunday was a fantastic jaunt, first to watch a REAL NBA GAME *big grin* The Detroit Pistons vs Phoenix Suns no less. Very very good game!!!! Loved it. Pistons had awesome defence while the Suns had some very nice plays. And the atmosphere was very very fun. Also got a chance to shoot a basket at the end of the game *BIG GRIN* pity i didn't get the ball in *sigh* but still, it was SO FUN XD

After that we drove over to Detroit to watch Les Miserables, FINALLY. And it was bloody brillant!!!! I loved the music and the storyline. Definitely tighter and more intelligent than that of phantom or hairspray *lol* The songs and lyrics were so beautiful! I loved Eponine, Marius and Jean Valjean's voices. So rich and just mindblowing. The sets were also breathtaking. Especially the rotating stage. It was a very clever way of portraying the passage of time as the characters move through the scenes. And the starry sky was so real and beautiful! Lovely!!!! *squeeee* I've been playing the soundtrack over and over since then. Somehow, the one sentence that has stuck in my head is 'In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight' from Eponine's On My Own. Such a beautiful image...

For H/D fans, PLEASE read Layshajane's Finer Than Spring, an angsty, beautiful novel length fic set after HBP. Very quotable too! One of the rare times I actually stop to note down beautiful phrases and sentences.

And finally to stejuste: Haha. Perhaps US just has weird germs flying around O_o Though I think partly why I'm always sick is due to the high stress level, severe lack of sleep, and fickle weather O_o All the ME students are taking turns to fall sick O_o
