woot. three weeks of not blogging. thousand apologies. I'm afraid the schoolwork and sickness demon has once again caught up with yours truly *lol* Also, the Muse has left me for a holiday. Nonetheless, here goes ^^

1. bleach the anime got licensed. *aghast* Which means a)Lunar Fansubs will stop subbing it, so no more good quality subs from them. b) dattebayo is still subbing it, which is good, but also means bad spelling, broken english...yadayada you get the idea. *lol* c)rie starts to rant to anyone who would listen about the ridiculous rules governing this fansub business. When american companies decide to buy the rights to an anime, they do it having the notion to start DUBBING it in american english *horrified wails* It's just interesting how, if anyone ever wants to sell something in America, they have to americanise it first. The public in general just doesn't seem to want to open up to other cultures. Anything mildly foreign to them is deemed uninteresting or too foreign to understand. It's just sad since animes in general are definitely much better in the original language. Japanese voice actors have brought the entire dubbing thing to a whole new level. Besides, listening to the americans say 'Ban Kai' in american english, or worse, 'final showdown' will literally just spoil whatever dignity the characters have. O_o Sigh. And i've just heard that Infernal Affairs, this very very very good Hong Kong gangster movie, is goign to be REMADE into an american film. They can't just add subtitles to the thing, they have to change the entire premise to an american one before it can enter the market. Sheesh.

2. Got sick again. *sigh* This year has been plagued with one flu or cold after another O-o Much to the point that i'm beginnign to think i'm getting old. I never used to get sick so often before...

3. read Anansi Boys, gaiman's fairly new book. It's a nice read, definitely, though the ebook version i had was plagued with so many typos that it made it hard to enjoy fully. But it's an interesting book nonetheless, do read it. ^^

4. where's everyone? this place is getting quiet...*sigh* *lol*
