tadaima~! ^^

Back, back. ^^ Finally back. Currently listening to a very demented, amusing cover of Hit Me Baby One More Time by Travis. *ROTFLMAO* Sarcarstic as hell. ^^ It's nearing the end of Spring Break now (sigh), but well spent, nonetheless ^^ Drove up to Toronto on saturday for some wonderful hong kong wonton mee. And then drove down to the famous Niagara Falls the next morning. Can now scratch off one more must-see attraction from my list. ^^/ It was gorgeous, the falls. But also very wet ^^;;; The spray from the falls tended to descend on the little people at the edge like some very heavy rain. Fun ^^ Weather was gorgeously fine, and because of that there was this pretty rainbow spanning the entire falls. One of those perfect moments. ^^ Pretty. Paid $7.50 to go behind the falls, but all I saw was a bloody wall of ice >.< The entire thing had frozen over *sigh* Nonetheless, pretty place. I'd love to go there again in fall. ^^

After a day's rest, took the train to Chicago, of which half the gang was the same one I went with the last time. *haha* Missed the train there though >.< Cos yours truly overslept. For some reason my bloody handphone didn't go off *kicks* Luckily everyone was nice about it, and we took the later train ^^;;;;; As usual, chicago was just FOOD and FOOD and more FOOD. ^_^/ Kick-started our trip with a fantastic roast duck meal at chinatown. *sighs* It was amusing how the waitress was telling us to eat slowly, since everyone was basically gobbling up the food with so much gusto XD We finished a full 10 course (was it 10?) in 30 minutes, complete with like 5 huge bowls of rice shared among us. *haha* Wonderful food. The next two days were spent shopping and basically filling up on chinese food to last us till we all reach home end april *lol* It was deja vu all the way though. I visited most of the places we went last time, walked the same routes, talked to some of the same people. So nice to remember things. It was almost surreal, sitting in the train, looking at the reflections of my friends in the glass, and then rememebering a different reflection of a different group in a different time. We even nearly missed the train returning to ann arbor. Ran the exact same three streets down to the station, like we did the last time. Creepy. *lol* Stepped into the train station breathless, but it turned out that the train was delayed. So -that- was different. *haha*

I love chicago, and how the old skyscrapers with their gothic architecture blended so well with the new glass spires. Still my favourite city, and so near too! ^^ Too bad the trip was over. But good break. Still full of roast duck and cheese cake *yum* ^^ Somehow chicago reminds me of that dreaming city in Sandman. It has that dreamy quality, like some sort of transitory place, where the old and new coexist. Pretty ^^

Btw, found this really NICE yaoi manga in Borders, Only The Ring Finger Knows. Read it if you can. Really sweet and nice manga ^^ One of the better ones around ^^ I do believe i'll eventually get it ^^ Worth keeping.

And Gankutsuou has to be the BEST anime around. It's a sci-fi adaptation of Le Comte De Monte Cristo, and I dare say it's almost as good as the book itself. Beautiful. Do watch it. ^^ Official site is here, and fasubs can be found here. I'd recommend downloading from the XDCC bots on IRC instead, since they're really fast ^^ And for those interested, the slash factor is pretty high *lol* Though it's all hints. Bishonen factor also high. ^^/
