Finding Neverland

Watched Finding Neverland! In Boston!!! Haha. It was fantastic! Johnny Depp was fantastic!! The story was fantastic! The cast was fantastic! Hell, it was just fantastic! Highly highly recommended, and, I must say, one of the best Johnny Depp movies ever!

The script was really one of the most beautiful ever! Very beautiful quotes - kenneth and jov, i htink you'll like this ^^

'When the first baby laughed, its smile broke into a thousand pieces, and each piece became a fairy, And so, now, everytime a baby makes its first laugh, the laugh turns into a fairy!'

And there were so many more! Pity I cannot remember all of them. THe show talked about alot of things - of holding on to the child within you, of believing, of escaping, of dreaming, living the dream. And for a moment there, I remembered, truly, how it was to dream, and to imagine, and to believe. I'd almost forgotten that, that if you believe long enough, and hard enough, things will come true. It's amazing, the things you forget when you're trying to run your life the way people want you to. Wearing someone else' clothes, living someone else's dreams...and then, escaping to your true self, finding Neverland, when no one was looking, believing, caring. Escaping to Neverland, where your dreams come true. And all of a sudden, I'm reminded of my childhood, when I wanted to escape to Narnia. I wanted my dreams to come true, every single one of them. But then, like in that Mayday song, "從前　書包很滿　裝不下的夢　就丟了一些"...you drop them, lose them, kill them, because you realise how tragically impossible they are.

The reason why I love the show so much, is because it really struck a chord with me, and everything I hold dear in life - fantasy, freedom, imagination...

I'm definitely buying the DVD. And watching it again. It's thought provoking, with excellent cinematography. And so brilliantly crafted you are left sighing at the end of a beautiful dream. Another excellent performance by Depp, with a convincing Irish accent (sho sexy ^^/) And Depp in suits!!! Black suits! And short hair!!! And such beautiful eyes! FANTASTIC!! *grin* AWESOME!!! Kate Winslet was appropriately demure and yet fun-loving, one of her usual characters, i guess. But a very good contrast to Depp's broody charm. And the boy, Peter. Gawd. He's a wonderful actor. I see now why and how he is Charlie in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. His eyes have this hunger. He has it down pat. Very impressive! Sigh. Happy desu ^^
