I'm baaaack ^^

hellooooo from michigan *haha* finally got settled in and found enough time where I didn't feel like sleeping to blog *grin* sorry to all who were waiting ^^;; *ducks*

to stejuste, will reply your email soon *grin* what's this i hear about goign to the yaoi con?? *haha*

to en: thanks for te cutlery. they are lifesavers ^^/ my room is now v nice and blue. Happy ^^/

on other things, this place is wonderful *haha* into my second week of class now, and I've never felt happier *grin* of course it helps that there's lots of nice pple here and the weather is beautiful ^^ and studying on the grass while you listen to the leaves rustling in the breeze is priceless, something you can't do in SG, no way *haha* i like how the US system is really flexible. *haha* everythign has exceptions *grin* though some things are really really irritating, like the totally inefficient banking system. *haha* Currently doing one anthropology, two engineering and one math class *girn* Anthro is totally interesting! The prof is real funny, and you get to learn about all these cultures ^^ Also building a greenhouse for engineering, which is totally cool *haha* but the math prof sucks >.< ah well, you win some you lose some XD

ok. now. updates *haha* bought two posters!!! One of johnny depp looking hot and another of Jack Sparrow and Will Turner leaning back-to-back XD Wall space in my corner of the room has been significantly reduced to nil *haha* Also got this limited edition Lucifer comic called Nirvana. Cool stuff.

Another pretty cool thing about this place is the no of used-book stores. *grin* I finally finally finally found the long out of print set of books by Tanith Lee, called the Tales Of The Flat Earth series. Also found Ursula K Leguin's Left Hand Of Darkness, so yours truly is very happy XD

My room is pretty small though *whine* I feel very claustraphobic. But otherwise, i guess you could say it's cozy. that would certainly be helpful in the winter when it gets like totally freezing *haha*

lahdeeda...what else. oh right. hahaha. also watched some movies, and currently dl-ing alot more XD so here's some reviews ^^

Lan Yu

*lolol* hahaha, just watched this movie for the second time, since I finally. FINALLY have access to the friendly neighbourhood chinese vcd rental store. XD XD Yours truly has hence been stocking up on the yaoi movies. Happy Together will be tomorrow, after I return this one XD XD XD

Ok. Lan Yu. My two cents worth ^^ I watched it twice, one day after the another, which speaks for how good it is. The direction, acting and subtle imagery were all fantastic! Same for the actors. The guy acting Lan Yu had this absolutely beautiful pair of eyes - truly soulful...*sigh* okay, he was quite cute too *haha*

Let's see. Basic story, bi playboy (handong) plays with innocent college student (lan yu). Innocent college student falls in love with bi playboy. Playboy also falls in love with student, only he doesn't realise it till like real late ^^;;; And hence great emotional rollercoaster occurs. *haha* Of course, the original story is much more angsty and beautiful. There was this line, which really made me cry (it sounds real good in chinese, but since blogger dun like chinese, I shall attempt to translate ^^;) - "Every day I wake up in the morning, i tell myself to love you a little less, so that it won't hurt so much when you leave me." Lan Yu said this to Handong when Handong kept goign out with other people. *sob*

haha. beautiful stuff, you guys should go watch it ^^ I now know why it won so many awards at cannes *haha*

the second yaoi movie i've dl-ed so far ^^;;;; It's a romantic comedy you might say, where everything's exaggerated two-fold, but v amusing. ^^ Plot wise this movie sucks, but bishonen wise...WOW ^^ *hee* and well, it was pretty fluffy and sweet in the end *awww* You guys can go to the official site for more details.
