Troy

ooooh, Troy was good. Just watched Troy. Fantastic stuff *LOLOL* Lots of nekkidness. *gringrin* Esp the Paris part (though not as much as Archilles. Damn.) Orli looks real good though *lolol* And seeing him act frightened is soooo cute XD I mean, you always see him brave, but never scared witless. *lol* So adorable. (yes, I know I'm goign to get alot of flak for that ^^;) He looked good in a skirt too. Especially in that outfit when he was on the ship from Sparta, that blue long sarong thing. ^^ I liked the fact he had a bow and arrows again too. Orli looks good shooting arrows. XD He's so innocent and adorable you feel like squeezing his cheek *LOLOL* His acting was good I think. And no, I'm not biased. I think he at least deserves some commendation for that part where he was fighting Menelaus. Fantastic ^^

I'm waiting for his next period show, Kingdom of Heaven, directed by Ridley Scott and he will 'play Balian of Ibelin, a blacksmith, who becomes a knight in order to defend Jerusalem against the crusaders, saves a kingdom and falls in love with Sibylla, the princess of Jerusalem, played by Eva Green.' *lol* There. For En and Gerri, since I forgot the title earlier *haha*

Did anyone notice the slash between Patroclus and Archilles? I mean, the original Illiad was basically a slash story between the two, I didn't think they'd sort-of incorporate it into the movie *lol* Not bad, not bad. I think the guy acting Patroclus was sorta pretty *haha* I foresee lots of angsty slash after this. *lolol*

In general, I liked the story. Alot. I mean, after watching Van Helsing, it was a relief to finally watch a movie with a plot and good acting *lol* They were surprisingly loyal to the original, all the way up to the burial rites, though I think they started getting a little too religious about putting the two coins on the eyes *lol* (though it was a nice touch, putting in the mythical element about the river Styx in this way) After LOTR, this about satisfied my need for fantasy epics *LOL*

And I liked Odysseus. And Priam. And Hector. Hector was real COOL. The character development was very well done. You could see Archilles and Paris grow as the movie moves along, and the action scenes weren't overdone, for once *lol* and the trojan fireballs were really cool *grin*

van helsing

a disappointing show, IMO. I mean, they had plenty of opportunity for character development, but the director chose to make it just another action show. *sigh* He could have expanded on the Wolfman's dilemma of fighting or protecting his sister, and on Van Helsing's internal conflict on regaining his memory and fighting his arch-nemesis. So it was a pity. *tsk* Dracula was COOL though *lol* I loved the evil and seductive aura about him. And that drawl and the hair and the costume *lolol* Niiiice. *haha* He really stole the show. Otherwise..*yawn*

on layout: *sheepish grin* heh, sorry for the contrast thingy *haha* but liked stejuste said, this was the only way the layout still maintained its 'aura' you know? *lol* A quick fix would be to highlight all the text as you read (hit ctrl-A) ^^ Contrast should be no problem then ^^/

to stejuste: uploaded books 1 and 2 of hanakimi for you on Streamload. Will get around to uploading other stuff as I go along *grin* enjoy ^^/

to shu: yes, I did see Brad's nekkidness. But I preferred orli's *LOLOL* I like em not so bulky see XD *pokes back*

He was afraid of the man; but all the man said was, "Welcome. I have been waiting. You come on your time, and now we can begin."

-- The Fall Of The Kings, Ellen Kushner and Delia Sherman

(fantastic book, incidentally. Classic, with slash, and lots of politics, and kings. *haha*)
