Musings and The Daily Prophet

*sighs* been off blogging for so damn long. It's good to be back ^^ There's so many things to say, which have, by now become long past ^^;;; Talk about totally outdated ^^;;;;;;;;;;; So I've decided to write lil' summaries a la Daily Prophet style. *lol* Here goes:

1. Just talked to a friend two days ago for two hours, and had a really really enlightening conversation. *lol* I mean, here you have one person, whom you 've known for a few months now, but never knew him/her really well. Then one fine day, thanks to a totally ridiculous argument, this whole conversation starts up, and voila! You suddenly find that this person has more things in common with you than you could ever imagine. *lol* I mean, it's not every day that you find someone with closely similar interests!! *lol* The conversation will be like, "Oh, and I like this, and I do this..blah blah." and the other person will go "Really? Shit. This is scary. I like this and do exactly the same thing too!" Haha. So we freaked other out for quite a bit. But still, it's cool. I think I'm beginning to rediscover the merits of ICQ all over again *grin* To you, you know who you are, it was nice knowing you better, minus your crapping. Haha. ^^/

2. It's nearing the end of the chinese new year, and I'm only writing my sort of report now *sighs* But I had a fairly uneventful new year. My family usually spends the eve at the reunion dinner, then spends the rest of the night watching TV. *lol* Spent half the night watching TV. *lol* It was CNY anyway *haha* The next day was spent visiting my grandma's house. That's one out of three houses we visit every year *grin* Pathetic isn't it? But I guess in a good way too, considering the fact that I save quite a bit of time, unlike others who have like twenty families to visit *grin* Pigged out on food, watched TV again, and then went home and slept. XD I was thoroughly enjoying my holiday. XD

The next few days, however, was thoroughly miserable *grin* It rained the whole day for two continuous days!!! Not that I'm complaining, of course. I love to snuggle under my sheets in this sort of weather. XD But when we attempted to visit the River Hongpao show, this open air event for New Year, we ended up running from tent to tent to escape the rain!! Some smartass in my family forgot to bring umbrellas ^^;;; Haha. Day three of the Lunar Calendar was my chinese birthday. *grin* My grandma likes to celebrate that day for some reason. Which means I get to celebrate two birthdays every year, plus extra angpao money XD XD XD Lovely. *haha*

3. Let's see. What else? Oh yes. I bought new earphones. *grin* Using them now. Wonderful bass!!! And the thing cost me $32 sing. dollars only! ^^V Plus it's sony earphones (which I've always believed have superior bass) and you can change the casing. *grin* Ooooh. ^^

4. Been practically camping out at the #sweet-lunacy Mirc-X IRC channel these few days, to download all twenty books of Hanakimi T__T *sighs* If I wasn't so broke and so short of space, I would've bought them already T_T And after all this work, I've only managed to get half the series *sighs somemore* Nonetheless, I guess it's better than nothing ^^V Stejuste, you might wanna try these channels for your scanlation needs XD Also found (get this) Sirius/Remus slash comics!! Some absolutely wonderful soul scanned them *kisses anonymous kind soul* *haha* In bliss XD Now all I need is to beg dear ol' Xephyris to translate them for me ^^;;;

5. PL passed me the Neverwhere DVD that stejuste sent some time ago. *grin* Managed to watch half of it, and I must say, it's GOOD ^^ Really good. Nothing beats watchign one of your favourite books come alive on screen, I tell ya ^^ Croupe and Vandemar were really nice and scary. *lol* I loved 'em ^^ Bishonen quotient was Zero. Nil. But still, the show was wonderful ^^ It's one of those low budget, immensely quaint things, but you still like them nonetheless ^^ THANK YOU SO MUCH STEJUSTE!!! *glomps* ^^

6. Had a totally crazy time at Enz' house watching LOTR FOTR and TTT extended versions including extras. *lol* All together, we spent around 13 hours watchign everything, and nearly died. *haha* Enz was so 'traumatised' she started having dreams about LOTR XD XD XD Let's see, she had this dream where she saw her earrings sort of morph into the one ring, until I woke her up *ROTFL* We were so bushed those two days. YUp, you heard right, it took us two days, and we still haven't watched all the extras ^^; It was so fun finally getting together with good friends that you haven't seen for so long! *sighs* We even went clubbing the next night, so you can imagine we were all really tired. I almost fell over my supper in tiredness if not for my friend who woke me up *haha*

7. Lots of people having new blogs, or reinventing their old sites to include blogs.

Tzo has a proper blog now, thanks to my poking ^^ It's under 'Nonsense'. ^^ You really should read it ^^.

Enz has also reorganised her old blog to include what she calls a pseudo-blog. *lol* You can find it under 'Musings'.

And then there's Noel, everyone's favourite Retroboy XD Plenty of stuff on NS. *grin*

Monsieur Genius Zhonglei also got himself a homepage! Not a blog, but still rather impressive, considering it's his First Site. ((O_O)) My first site was like crap compared with his ^^;

Do also visit Jov's blog. She's my bestest friend, and she has really contemplative posts ^^
