long replies, again *lol* Some bits from the replies for Shu were also snitched *lolol*

from Shu

Orli and Viggo AREN'T meant for each other *sweatdrops* Just because they touch each other a lot doesn't mean they are....mebbe they're just...starved for attention?? I'm not much of a fan of Orli/Viggo, sighs.....Hugo/Orli mebbe but Hugo's married...hey, isn't Viggo?!

*lol* Aiyah, it's called RPS! It's fantasy!!! *lol* I still maintain that Hugo is not right for Orli. *big grin* Hmm. i reckon this argument can go on forever! Haha. Anyway, for the record, Viggo is divorced/not even married in the first place. I'm not sure which ^^;;; He has one son from that 'marriage', and that's it. But he's an eligible bachelor now *lol*

from Stejuste

actually, i think i'm beginning to lose interest in Mr Bloom. he's good eye candy, but other than that he doesn't seem very interesting ....Viggo is actually much more interesting, despite his lack of prettiness...he's the sort of guy you don't get tired of, because there's so much in him to explore and discover. Mr Bloom may be more interesting later in life, when he has had more experience, has branched out more, and generally has more depth in him.

Hmm. I dunno. I've got a penchant for Brits. *lol* It's the accent, and that attitude thing. Hard to describe. *lol* I guess that's why I like Orli so much *lol* Must be the Brit thing, yup ^^ Totally agree about Viggo being more cultured and everything ^^ though I must say his looks take a bit of getting used to for me ^^ I'm looking forward to when Orli reaches Viggo/Depp's maturity. *lol* Really really looking forward to it XD

re. POTC gag reel: Yeah!!! Haven't seen all the xtras, but I dl-ed the gag reel, and it was really disappointing *sighs gustily* No slash, no humour, no nothing!!! And so short! *tsk tsk* I was expecting something much longer! And more funny!!! Towards the end, I was going 'Haha. Ha. Ha. Ha.' ^^;;;;;;;;;;; Nonetheless, I think I well get the movie, if anything for Depp and Orli acting -together- *lol* Btw, I heard that there are extra scenes added in. How were they? I reckon after LOTR, every DVD is going to feature extra scenes ^^;;;;

Anyway. Orli didn't show up much in the POTC special features. just a bit here and there, and it was quite boring/disappointing. don't know if it was the editing or if he's always like that. but he gave me the impression of a slightly insecure young puppy. he seems to be aware of his youth and inexperience and behaves very... i don't know what the right word is. he's quite subdued and proper, and seems to seek approval from the director etc in some ways.. basically just needs seasoning and time, i guess. As a person, he seems very nice and normal (note that "normal" is the kiss of death for SteJuste, who likes complete pervy deviants ^^; :) and really just sort of.. boring... >.< *grinz* but he is very pretty! i really do like that grin of his, it lights up his whole face! :) (must say that before Rie kills me :)

*lol* Is ok, my Orli obsession is an exclusive thing. *grin* Not everyone likes him as much *hahaha* I dunno, I think it's the editing, and also the atmosphere, perhaps? He probably wasn't that close to the cast, as in LOTR. I think it's a different atmosphere all together. I mean, look at him in TTT!!! Ridiculously funny, together with the hobbits and Viggo. I think he needs these people to bring out the humour in him XD

i really do want to see a post from any of the girls who happened to be there when Dom kissed Orli though. what i want to know is, maybe some of the girls started shouting for them to kiss, and they just did it because they were asked to. know what i mean?

Oh yeah. I'd love to hear that *lol* For some reason, I seem to remember reading somewhere that what happened was Dom came up to orli, and when Orli turned around, Dom swept him into a snog. XD Though I really can't be sure whether that was the product of my rich imagination, or it was a comment on someone's LJ. *lol* Methinks I've read too many LOTR articles ^^;;;; Am getting confused!! Heh

i've never read the Silmarillion. i've never read any of the Tolkien books other than the LOTR trilogy and the Hobbit. my first intro to fantasy was more along the lines of David Eddings, so when i encountered Tolkien i found him unbearably dry and boring. never managed to get past the first page until the FOTR movie came out - then i forced myself to read it *laugh* it took several chapters - i think i didn't really get into the trilogy until nearly the end of the first book, then i began to like it. but i'll still never like it as much as the movies, or as much as the Belgariad/Malloreon :)

Actually, I'm beginning to think the Belgeriad and Malloreon are too normal ^^;;;; I dunno, towards the end of the series, the story started getting predictable, and I got so sick of his writing I never read his other series ^^;; But his new book, Elder Gods just came out, so I guess I might give that a go ^^

I never started on Tolkien too, cos everyone I knew told me to give it a wide berth for its rather dry narration. I only got inspired to start reading after watching the first movie ^^;;;;; I only really started getting hooked on the books when I started reading TTT. FOTR was rather dry cos of all the narration ^^;;;; TTT had some action, at least *lolol*

The Silmarillion is good. ^^ Though in truth I never read the Silmarillion, but rather it's unedited predecessor, the Unfinished Tales. That one was basically the Silmarillion in its construction stages, and some stories had varied endings, since Tolkien hadn't decided at that time which ending to use *lol* It was even drier than The Silmarillion, so I still can't imagine how I managed to finish it ^^;;;;;;; The Silmarillion is good if you're interested in the history and culture of Middle Earth. Tolkien gets very detailed in there. He's practically waxing lyrical about his beloved elves. I like his story of how Middle Earth was created. It's like reading a polished up book of Celtic myth. ^^ You discover things like Elrond having a twin Elros that was the ancestor of the Numeneoran(sp?) kings, which means that Aragorn is related to Elrond after all *lol* Lots of stuff ^^ I love that book ^^ The only thing that may tire people out is the Olde English that he uses to write the stories. Lots of Thees and Thous and Henceforths and Whenceforths ^^;;; Got a minor headache after that ^^;;;;

what? Orli is not androgynous!!! maybe Leggy a bit... but definitely not Orli. Orli is very male *gringringrin* :>

*lol* Orli is very male yes, but he does look a little on the androgymous side, non? I dunno, he does, to me. ^^ He and Viggo are probably the most male males in my little black book XD XD XD

re. mamiya artwork, yup, will be putting them up soon ^^ Right now they're sitting around on my HD, waiting for me to get off my lazy butt to upload them *lol*

you using ethernet or wireless? *interested* i've been on ethernet all this time, mainly for security's sake, but ever since i picked up the P i've been itching to convert to wireless so i can be even more of a potato and blog in bed *grinz*

I'm using a router. That's counted under ethernet, right? *lol* Not v. sure ^^; I know exactly what you mean!! Being able to put your comp on the bed to blog while surrounded by confort is bliss. *lol* I'm really getting spoilt, aren't I? ^^ Am so glad my dad finally got the wireless lan set up. So now my dad and I can surf anywhere we want, driving my mom mad *rotfl*

you mean that thingy doesn't email you a notification when you get a comment??? i always thought you guys were notified when you got comments. huh. that's surprising. wait, don't tell me - you only get the notification feature if you're a paying customer, right? ^^; :)

Indeedy. ^^ You need to pay, as is always the case ^^;;; For some reason, Enetation is having problems counting comments *lol* Ah well, as long as it's to my advantage...;P

LOL! okay, will not look *laugh* um.. *thinks* stationery is always good *LOL* especially anything blue or translucent blue... did i mention that i like blue? *grinz* i picked up two very cute japanese mechanical pencils in clear blue plastic from NTUC Fairprice... *laugh* i can't bear to touch them, haven't even removed them from their wrappers yet. all i did was take photos of them to show people how cute they were *rotfl* :) or silver jewelry, i used to collect those - rings, earrings, etc. rings are hard to buy for others because of size, but earrings are okay - i used to get those little hoops from places like Lips at Far East. lose them all the time so more are always good *grinz*

*lolol* We'll see, we'll see *cryptic smile*

I Love Blue too!!!! *lolol* My favourite colour. Somehow makes everything look better, non? *grin* I can't believe you like -those- pencils though *rotflmao* If I'd known, I'd pass you all those freebies that I used to have from kid parties *lololol*

one of the few things i liked about the Alice in Wonderland books - the concept of a happy unbirthday *grin*) you're welcome - and don't forget to tell me if it's worth buying! (if guy not cute, forget it ^^; :>

*rotfl* I love Unbirthdays!!!! *big grin* I think it's really wonderful to receive prezzies out of the blue. Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling inside...XD *lolololol* "if guy not cute, forget it" - pretty much sums up my rationale when buying things too *ROTFL*

yep, me too. sigh. but i don't like the thought of leaving a big pile of crap behind when i die, either. i can just imagine myself one week before i die, sitting in front of this gigantic bonfire burning a ton of journals and photos and god knows what else. *groan* :)

*tsk tsk* What a bleak picture you paint XD You could always donate the stuff to some deserving neice or god child to help you carry on the tradition *laughs* Or you could stuff everything into a big time capsule for future generations of scientists to discover. *ROTFLMAO* While writing this, a picture of a archeologist coming across your junk and going into shock popped into my head. You know, on second thought, our junk piles are rather valuable finds you know. You can see the price level at that time (receipts), the popular culture (movie tix, cd flyers), the advancement of technology (old spoilt discmans, huge collection of sony/panasonic catalogues)...*rotflmao* Gawd, I can't go on, am laughing too hard from thinking up possibilities. XD XD

yep. and HP just hasn't been around long enough to develop the same kind of cult following. i mean, god, there are official tolkien scholars recognized by universities, for goodness' sake. it's really a big thing in its own right. plus, HP really does cater to the younger crowd, whatever you may say - the story and so forth really is in large part targeted at pre-teens or early teens kids. (think about it - chocolate that croaks and jumps, trading cards that come to life and move about, pet owls that come to your shoulder - all of it really is the kind of thing a child would dream about and love to pretend is real)

That's true. HP has always reminded me of a modern version of Enid Blyton books. *lol* the sense of high adventure and mystery is rather strong. Though Enid Blyton books are classics while HP books have somewhat begun their slow deterioration. *lolol* After all this while, I still don't understand why HP is so popular!!! *sighs* Though I must say her best invention was the Mauraders and, in particular, Remus and Sirius. *rotfl*

I've always thought Tolkien scholars were cool *grin* Imagine, studying your favourite book and all its origins! Rather cool ^^

re.The Ninth Gate: Hm. But ultimately, the movie didn't really make its true purpose clear, did it? I had a sense of something being missing when I reached the end. *lol* I wonder if it was just me or was it on purpose *grin* I doubt I wouldn't have noticed half as much if you didn't explain all your theories to me ^^

re.my obsession: ROTFLMAO! i'm going to time you and see how long it takes before you lose interest in them and start getting crazy about other people :>

*rotfl* I'm just as curious as you are over how long it takes. *grin* Actually, I wonder who it'll be that displaces Orli off his pedestle XD XD XD

so they are probably thinking that as long as they cater to both sides, rather than just one side exclusively, they'll get twice the fan base and please twice the number of fans they otherwise would *lol*

Nah. I doubt they thought that far! *lolol* I reckon it still boils down to them having fun and playign tricks on each other ^^

actually you may not be far wrong - i know they did present at least viggo and i think dom with the cassie claire diaries. and i'm very sure Dom at least would have got a huge kick out of them. (imagine all the hobbity bits in the diaries!) and if you think about the jokes the cast was making behind the scenes, and how they are constantly teasing Leggy for being spotless and clean and pretty all the time - it's actually not far from the jokes in the Cassie Claire stories. so they may very well have been passing the books around between takes and laughing their butts off :)

No kidding. They did???????? Oh my. I'd give quite a bit to see Viggo's face when he read the diaries. XD The 'still not king' bit probably cracked him up XD

re.orli and IT: was that from the same bunch of interviews as the new zealand ones where viggo played with the interviewer's foot? i really have to go download the others. i only managed to watch viggo's and then i couldn't take it anymore. i had to stop otherwise i would seriously have exploded *grinz*

*lolol* Yes, it was *rotfl* The whole series was rather amusing. watch the clips in the links I just put up, you'll probably like it too ^^
