Wednesday, July 16, 2003This made me rather irritated yesterday.I think it's rather sad that there are still people who think like that. They just don't see that there's nothing morally 'wrong' about having a different sexual orientation. I think something morally wrong would be stealing etc. Bad things happen as a result of that. However, nothing bad comes from gay behaviour, or at least I don't see it. "I disagree with the Government that people are born that way and hence helpless to change. Gays are never born that way. The law of nature has been that you are either born a male or a female, hence the proper behaviour follows." Which makes you wonder exactly what is defined as proper behaviour. It would be more correct to say 'social norm' instead, since our social/moral 'guides' are currently governed by what most people practice. There never was a fixed code of conduct in the first place. So who's to say other behaviour is not proper? "I would like to appeal to the Government to reverse its decision to hire gays for key jobs. History has shown time and again that great empires fell because of failing human values and shaky moral principles." Gah. Someone shoot this guy. It's not like having a different sexual orientation makes you more stupid or something. great empires fell, indeed. I'm sure there's plenty of examples to refute this, though I can't remember what ^^; And I won't say human values are failing and moral principles crumbling. I would say it's undergoing needed change to reflect changing social environments. Remaining stagnant would never get a person anywhere. There. Feel better now. ^^V stardusted at 2:55 AM | link? 0 Call me number 1!© sephirot productions 2008 |
