Yup. Agree totally with you. The death was such a...let down. ^^;;; You'd think he'd die fighting Voldemort or Peter. But noooo. He dies 'wham!'. Just like that. O_o I think JKR is losing steam. She's beginning to sound like she's writing more and dragging the plot each time just to make each book longer than before.

I recommend Fiona Patton's books too! Very much like Elizabeth A Lynn with slashy m/m relationships since the people in her fantasy world don't care much about sexual orientation, if you're gay, fine, you're gay XD XD

i went into public mourning on the channel when someone messaged me the identity of the deceased, btw :) he was the coolest bloody guy there and she whacked him off like that. unbelievable. must be the stress of keeping up the franchise :>

re. your comment on Shu's blog - i read in some newspaper item or other that Rowling apparently cried buckets when she had to kill him off. i don't know if that means it's final or not but it didn't make me feel more hopeful about a resurrection. my original reaction was that he had to come back too - after all, that would be the ideal happy ending, that he can graduate and go live with real family that loves him.. but who knows, maybe Rowling has been reading too much Lemony Snicket during her little hiatus ^^; :)

*lol* I dunno, I think she may be serious during the interview, but since book six is just half-written, and judging from how much this woman loves to lead fans o, I doubt it'd be really final. ^^;;; She'd be missing a big chunk of plot if it is ^^;;; I'm seeing her crying buckets as another red herring. rotflmao! :) i used to copy down some of the funnier things my students wrote, back when i was giving tuition. got caught one day when my student looked up from her book and asked, "teacher, are you copying down my answers?" i felt quite bad, especially since i was having trouble not grinning to myself over the things she was saying in her essay. poor girl :)

re. Aslan mural: wow, that sounds pretty! is it a permanent mural or a temporary exhibition thingy?

It's a permanent wall mural on the outer wall of Chjimes. A very long and colourful mural. ^^

i tried to install movable type once and gave up. i don't know whether it was the program that was the problem or my host at the time, which if you remember had problems left right and center :) i may try it again another time just for fun. incidentally i was more successful at installing grey matter - i found that to be a *very* easy and quick install, and the script works quite well. i would prefer to use a php/mySQL script for my blogs, though, mainly for the speed difference. waiting for a cgi script to re-index everything if you make a change can be horrendous when you have a lot of posts, as i tend to do *grin*

Hmm. What do you mean by 're-index'? I'm scouting around for scripts. Am a bit hesitant using php since I don't know enough of the language to trouble-shoot ^^;; Is the speed difference very significant?
