Tuesday, May 13, 2003RepliesTo stejuste: those movies have to be appreciated on their own, rather than as "the books brought to life", i guess. it's all too clear that they took the definition of "adaptation" to a whole new level ^^ *lol* I laughed quite a bit at the 'whole new level' part *rotfl* Is true. But then again, for me, I know and love the books so much that it's impossible to appreciate the movies on their own ^^;;; i loved X2. like you, i wished kelly had a bigger part. the poor woman. i don't think she ever even got a chance to speak! hey, i forgot that magneto was you-know-who. lucky i'm not a big LOTR fan or it would have bothered me!!! i liked magneto. he's the sort of anti-hero you can't help sympathising with even as you disagree with his POV :} :) i liked mystique, too. i thought X2 was much better all-round than X1, so i came away happy :) Of course X2 was better!! there were more people, for one ^^ I'm still pissed Gambit's not there *sigh* Hope he comes out in X3 ^^ Hm, I think Magneto is one of those heroes with reasons, if you get what I mean, so he isn't exactly the most hated ^^ I'm getting interested in Mystique's character now ^^ You know that scene when she started morphing to suit wolverine's..er..tastes? Well, was just wondering if she's starting to like wolverine? ^^ Speaking of Xmen, just the other day, got wholly lectured by PL over the 'Who's Who Of Xmen' *lol* She was throwing me facts like -anything- ^^ I never knew she was a closet X fanatic. Hell. I've just discovered many of my friends were closet X fanatics O_o wow, can't believe you had the stamina to re-read the NeverEndingEmail *grin* i'm impressed. *we're not worthy, we're not worthy!* :) *lol* Believe it or not, I did ^^ It was an interesting read ^^ Serious ^^ To Raydance: in case you had no idea... Claudia is Kirsten Dundst. :) yeah, the movie is THAT old. WHERE WERE YOU?! NO KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gawd. I never knew ^^;;; As for where I was at that time, I was bopping to BackStreet Boys and reading Agatha Cristie O_o To Scube: hello! XD hahah I'd agree with you about the movies!! XD but I guess that's usually what happens when they try to movie-ise a novel... if you consider the fact that The Interview with the Vampire movie is about 10 years old by now, maybe you'd be more forgiving towards it? ^^;; I thought Tom Cruise was rather charimatic as Lestat though... (and I usually actually prefer Brad Pitt to Tom Cruise ^^;) *lol* Ah well, I guess I have to take into account the fact that white face paint then didn't stay on very long, and tended to crack rather quickly XD The face paint really put me off, for some reason ^^ I thought the same way as you regarding Cruise and Pitt too ^^ I do prefer Brad Pitt cos he does look better. But Cruise looked better in the movie for some reason. i think it was cos his features were sharper, so he could carry off the aristocratic look better? ^^ Btw, can I link you? ^^ To Mad Hatter: Louise??? *gasp* you know what an ill-placed 'e' can -do- to a name??? *big sweatdrop* Ack. Typo!! Typo!! Sorry!!! *lol* Ok, I haven't read he books for so long, I forgot the spelling *lol* Forgive me ^^ oh well, always preferred Lives of the Mayfair Witches to the Vampire Chronicles... ^^;;;;;;; Actually, I didn't like the Mayfair Witches. I stopped reading Vampire Chronicles because Rice started merging the two chronicles togewther ^^;;; I think Mayfair is a little too longwinded and plotless for my liking. And i don't really like the witchery thing ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; *big grin* yay, you've started re-visiting my blog *lol* Well, it's just that I haven't heard from you for so long ^^ stardusted at 11:06 AM | link? 0 Call me number 1!© sephirot productions 2008 |
