Aah. My second weekend since I started work. You kinda appreciate holidays more when you don't have them *grin*

Just watched the American Idol 2. And I must say, the quality of some of the contestants are great! Current favourite is Clay Aiken *_* He's a rather geeky type of cute. But cute nonetheless, and a beautiful beautiful voice *sigh* To watch his performances, put up a search for 'Clay Aiken' in Kazaa. Quite a few rabid fans have bothered to digitise all his performances *grin* I do think Stejuste might appreciate his voice, since it's rather low and very romantic *heh* His eyes are also rather dreamy *grin*

And watched LOTR, FOTR for the fifth time running today ^^V After watching it sooo many times, you start to realise wierd things, like how Legolas -always- catches Aragorn when he falls *hee* And you also realise Legolas -always- shoots the enemies that are hurting Aragorn *lol* And no, I was not imagining things. Even my sis saw it *heh heh*

On other things, well, I got a conditional offer from Imperial today. But I do not satisfy the 'requirements', since I got a B for Physics instead of an A. Is highly tempted to take liquid paper and switch the grades around. Argharghargh!!!!!! Have decided to email admissions professor. Hopefully he will reconsider ne ^^;;; Also managed to scrape through to second round of interviews for scholarship. Am rightfully shocked that they actually want me *big sweatdrop*

And now, some replies of sorts ^^

books of magic sounds depressing. okay, i know, i'm quite pathetic, always avoiding the depressing stuff *grin* your description reminds me of the end of Narnia, when all the animals go through the door, and Father Time shuts everything down, and Aslan closes the door. soooo bloody depressing :} thank goodness he has some happy bits after that scene, otherwise i would have hated the way the series ended *grin* :)

Nah, the Books Of Magic is not -that- depressing. My descripton doesn't give it justice ^^ You have to read to know. I do think you'll love it (and sandman too!) since both series tend to have a lot of mythical and classical references which you'll appreciate since you seem to know lots about these things ^^ And the language is nice and prose-y. The depression is more of a realistic nature, not the dramatic kind of thing you see in most movies et al. er. I hope I'm making sense here ^^;; Actually, I found Narnia's 'end' rather interesting. I was reading it with this sense of awe. i thought it was sooo cool. I remember hoping that our world could end like that, as it would definitely be better than an end filled with gunfire and pollution ^^;;

last unicorn... can barely remember it. think i saw the cartoon, didn't read the book. i'm betting it was super depressing, am i right? *gringrin*

Er. Yes. It was. But it was nice too ^^;; A little like Guy Gavriel Kay's style though, so I think you'll prolly not like it. But I'll recommend it for its interesting portrayal of unicorns, as Shu has already mentioned. ^^

eh, for goodness' sake please be careful.... wouldn't want you to get ill!!!!

I will, thanks ^^ *glomp*

under 10k? they must be thinking of forum avatars *grinz*

Er. I rather doubt it *grin* Xephyris said, and I quote, "Maybe it's supposed to be a test", which had me in laughing fits for quite some time *grin*

Re. the tax question, well, I checked it out for you, and you're mostly correct. My supervisor recommends that you email them to double check though. Address and email can be found here. Did you inform the IRAS of your relocation to USA? Cos it seems that that's supposed to matter (or so my supervisor says). You're counted as a non-resident, so that means your tax rate will be different. But first and foremost, if you don't receive a letter from IRAS, you are prolly not taxed, so not much to worry anyway ^^;; Oh, and they do mention that they can send you your tax statement at your US address, if you want. Does that help? I hope it was clear. Otherwise, I'll try and explain again ^^ Basically, supervisor says email them ^^

re. #bookz : oh god, it's a virus :) *laugh* try not to kill your hard drive downloading :>

Said HD was killed then resurrected. Not much to worry about. I hope ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

hey, i don't know why you have that problem with selecting to copy... i have not experienced that myself! i tried to select just parts and it worked normally for me... weird.

only thing i can think of is maybe you have some setting in your OS, browser, or mouse driver set to auto-select entire words or paragraphs - i know you can do that in ms word etc. like, click once = select word, click twice = select paragraph/entire page.

Hmm...Nah, I didn't enable that, cos it works fine on other pages. Somehow, only your page does that ^^;; It used to be ok for a while, until suddenly this bug cropped up. Could it be your corrective prog (i forgot the name) correcting your scripting so that nothing happens for you? *puzzled look* Wierd ^^

Have read it and yes it's one of the most beautiful books written with a intriguing concept, regretful unicorns ;)

Have you watched the animation film based on the book? Eh...they had songs in it *gulp* but it's not too bad, some of the songs were very ballad-like and almost captures the elusive mood of Beagle's book in some parts. Esplanade Library has the tape in case you haven't watch it and want to.

Really? There's a tape at that pretty library?? Ok Will watch ^^V Hm, I do think I need to borrow pl's card again *sweatdrop* Thanx ^^ Incidentally, Mercedes Lackey's books also have accompanying ballads. I heard that My Lady's Eyes is quite a nice song. Hmm. I wonder. My freind tells me you can get it from kazaa, so you may want to try.

I kinda wished Amalthea stayed with Lir but....I guess would have defeated the ending...

Yeah..so sad >.< I hate sad endings *sigh* i rather liked Schemedrick's character. Very interesting, And I liked how he developed the changing views of Amalthea. *_*

QIONGHUI. YOU STOLE MY WRITING STYLE. YOU EVIL EVIL GIRL. *curses the most damning curse of the original 4/1 point form writer, viz. you shall never be as funny as mmmeeeee* bwahahahaha.

*sticks out tongue at tzo* Meanie *mutter* Besides, I think half the world uses this form of blogging anyway. So you must've copied too. Hah ^^ "Original 4/1 point form writer" my aunt lobeia's left foot! *snort* And Tzo, you evil evil girl, you stole my idea for blogging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (since in the 4/1 circle, I was the first one you know *gringrin*) Die! Die!!! *points magic staff at tzo* hmm. I think I'm beginning to get a hang of the 'point-staff-at-people' idea *hee hee*

Yeah, and I'm commenting because you told me to comment so that it would look like lots of people visit your blog. ooh I'm honest. *angelic smile* Oh and hurry up with the server!

*bap* I told you NOT to say that!! *bapbapbap*

-plhu-

People who write in point form are intellectually incapable of organising their thoughts into coherent paragraphs.

*sidelong glance* look who's talking ^^;;; But still, *rotfl*
