Funny how one short post ends up longer and longer *rotfl* The rie-stejuste syndrome is acting up again *grin* Enjoy *evil laughter*

it's weird; i'm so bad at replying to emails but i don't seem to have the same kind of procrastination problem with message board posts or blog comments... why is that? it makes no sense. i think it's just anti-homework syndrome. the act of having to fire up my email program makes me go "awwwwwwwww" *grin*

I think it's simply a matter of blog posts being more 'attractive' *grin* See, if I post to my blog, my reply appears in this nice colourful format. Add to that the thought of the whole world sort of participating in this exchange, and blogging becomes way more interesting ^___^ *rotfl* Anti-homework syndrome? Hmm. I think that's probably it. XD I like the sound of it. So next time I start procrastinating, I can just say i have anti-homework syndrome *grin*

i'm happy right now because i cleared my backlog at work and no one is hounding me to do much right now, long may it last! *fingers crossed* :) so at the moment i'm pretty free again, yay :)

Lucky thing ^^ You sound much more relaxed than most working people I know ^^ Incidentally, I just found a job with a civil engineer. It starts tomorrow. I wonder what it'll be like?

me, an innocent youngling, corrupting you? Never! *grin* *rotfl*

good point :> usually i'm the one corrupting others :>

*rotfl* Naw, I'm just as bad as you ^^ Only i specialise in slash pairings ^^V Managed to get more people to read legolas/aragorn slash recently *heh heh*

rotflmao!!! oh no... i can't get that image out of my head now! LOLOLOL!!! next time we have a meeting at work i'm going to sit there imagining everyone looking like a bean and vibrating in place *giggle* (do you remember at one point this "Human Bean" thing that was very popular? it may have been before your time... they had file folders, bags, notepads, that kind of thing.. all with various very cute cartoons of beans in different costumes and facial expressions. i collected a few folders, they were damn cute :) i see what you mean about the interview... *grin* maybe he was nervous :>

*rotfl* Nope, I don't remember human beans. I am however thinking of Mr Potato Head. Remember that cartoon they used to screen with my little pony? Something about a family of potatoes? Yup. Somehow, I think the potatoes look more like beans... ^^;; Well, at least now meetings will never be boring again ^____^

i'm left-handed and the eye on my left (which would be the character's right eye from the character's POV) is the one that always comes out better *LOLOL* :)
give out photocopies of your art, then :>

*lol* I did think of giving out photocopies, only the photocopies never turned out right ^^;; Can't duplicate the feel of pencil ^^; Photocopies tend to look harsh.

LOLOL!!! no, really, you're a bit young to be aging yet *grin* i wonder what your taste will be like in ten or twenty years *laugh*

Perhaps rap music *rotfl*

i forgot which you recommended. i'll have to go back and hunt through the archives. the first ones i downloaded were the two you listed on your blog menu bar, on the right-hand-side... i didn't know which ones to pick so i just took that as a recommendation *grin*

Yup, that was a recommendation. You didn't like the rain song? I really love that. Perhaps it's cos I always fancy myself as a melodramatic angster ^^ I like the lyrics - "Why does it always rain on me?/Is it because I lied while I was seventeen?/Why does it always rain on me?/Even when the sun is shining,/I can't avoid the lightning/Oh, Where have the blue skies gone?/Why is raining so?/It's so cold.." Then again, I re-heard Travis' songs with your comments in mind, and I realised that you're right. Travis is rather more depressing than Coldplay. You might call them melancholic, while Coldplay is..thoughtful? ^^ Incidentally, just watched Coldplay's stellar performance on the Grammys. ^^ Wow. They sang Politik, with the support of the New York Philharmonic. Beautiful ^^ The vocalist played the piano, and began to act like some deranged lunatic towards the end. I rather liked that *lol* Try Travis' Follow The Light. That song is a tad bit happier ^^ And rather motivating, IMO.

simple solution, rie - just keep on thinking that Integral is a guy *evilgrin*

Mou, not when they keep going "Miss Integral" ^^;;; She would've made a perfect tatusmi-like bishonen. Tsk.

it's black and a hell of a lot smaller than my old gigantic HP 8200 burner. the front face of the load tray is a nice translucent blue. it's much prettier than my old HP, i must say :) tornado.. haven't heard of it, must go check it out :> i can't put a 2.0 card into my laptop :( well, technically i could do one via the pc card slot i guess... but that would crash my computer. i can't two cards in the slots at the same time, the processor wouldn't be able to handle the excitement *grin* i'm hoping to get a desktop with 8 USB ports. only dell seems to be offering 8 at the moment though... the magazines keep saying the ABS PCs have 8 but when you look at the specs on their site it only shows up as two. grrrr. i agree, the ibook and lifebook are pretty. a friend of mine picked up an ibook when she was passing through the states a while back, and i couldn't stop ogling it. i would have molested it, too, except that she kept it jealously in her arms the entire time *grin*

*nod nod* I think that may have been the same model I saw. People were queuing up for it ^^ Mine is a Yamaha. Rather good drives, Yamahas ^^ Haven't got a badly written CD yet *grin* The thing I like about yamaha cd-rw drives is the 8MB buffer. Really helps to prevent crashes. Only peeve is it sounds like an aeroplane landing when it goes into high-speed reading ^^; I personally do not like Dell ^^;;; They've got these irritating advertisements every other day down here *mutter* My school used them, and they were damn lousy. >.< Why, my comp had exactly the same specs as theirs, and theirs was tons slower and waaay more buggy than mine >.< So yes, I have a very bad opinion for that computer *grin* I'm a supporter of no-brand 'puters. ^^V

Mou. I really want an ibook *_* I'm a closet ibook molestor *grin* The first place I always rush to in the store is the mac corner *lol* I'd have done that too, if I were your friend. ^o^ The only thing is that it's on a different platform. I'm more than a little lazy to switch over ^^; So i've decided that the next best option is a lifebook *grin*

i'm thinking of picking up a fujitsu on the side as well, the one with a dvd/cdrw drive and a transmeta processor at 950 mhz. it's sad when even an ultralite with a technically "low end" processor is better than the "desktop replacement" i currently have *grin* such is the march of progress... *sigh* :} :)

*nod nod* Get that. It sounds really good. ^^ Though I'd personally prefer a p4 processor ^^ Isn't there a model with p4 processor and a dvd-cd-rw drive too? I remember it was rather sleek too ^^ The type which you can stuff into your duffel like a book *grin* I've given up looking for desktop replacements, since they almost always turn up clunky. ^^;;; I think the lifebook is perfect. It looks like the ideal ladies' notebook. *_*

'nuff dreaming. first the trip home, then the bank account must recover, then the desktop, then the bank account must recover, *then* the lifebook :>

*rotfl* hmm, are techie toys cheaper in the US or singapore? if you do come when there's an IT fair, I recommend you get the lifebook there. They always have real good offers, only my dad -always- refuses to get one ^^;;

(well, i used to be online all the time during school hours, but that was because i was the world's worst skipper of classes, not to mention a very bad irc addict back then *grin*) i have accounts for most of the main chat progs including icq. i stopped using chat programs some years ago, though, because i realized it was a gigantic time sink :) so i only use irc nowadays to download stuff, not to talk. if i stay to talk i always end up being stuck to the keyboard for hours :} :) however, i will consider downloading to be a good cause for a little time sacrificing *grin*

*rotfl* well, the good thing about ICQ is the invisible function. That way you can avoid talking to too many people and wasting time ^^;; I remember when I was an IRC nut *lol* So trusting then! And so dumb ^^;; I was very amused when some guy asked to chat. Upon confirming I was a girl, he then went on to type this very long, not to mention graphic sexual description of what he planned to do. *rotfl* I was so shocked I just stared. And then I typed "F*** you" (all spelt out, of course) and shut IRC *lol* I still do not understand how people can get satisfaction over _that_ *tsk*

my mom was (is????) an elvis fan :> hey, i like abba!!! oh my god... the memories! *grin*

*rotfl* Loved abba! At the very least they could sing ^__^

i can never remember titles for classical pieces :}

*lol* same here. I only know some rough titles like canon ^^;;; Those german things are damn hard to remember ^^

i used to love those too. still do only i haven't listened to any in ages. i wonder if i have this old tape with me.. oh it wouldn't work anyway because i didn't have the titles on it, i don't think.. an old friend of mine once made me a really lovely cassette tape of all the angsty moody depressing piano/string pieces she could find.. *chuckle* that was when i was first starting to dip my toes into classical :) well i'll give a look round and see, and if there are any decent ones i'll rip them into mp3 for you sometime.

that was very nice of your friend! I love depressing piano/string pieces ^__^ Just gimme the titles, if you can, and I'll try and get it from kazaa ^^ I've been loyally attending most of the T'ang quartet's concerts lately. They're a very good local string quartet. I like their mischievious style. You might want to scout around for their cd ^^

it's true that some of Gackt's instrumentals can be really gorgeous :) i think my favorite was winter for a while there.. or maybe that was only because it was the only one of the four that i could identify and recognize whenever it came on *grin* i haven't listened to that one in a while, too... i used to play that and bach all the time at my old job. sort of de-stressing background soother *grin* here it is fortunately a lot less stressful so i can listen to pop *grin*

*lol* have you heard Gackt's Story? That has to be his best piece ever ^^ There's two versions, one is called Story - that is the original musical piece. The other has some jap words in the title aside from the word story - that is the later verison with song lyrics. I love both, though the clasical piece will always be my favourite ^^ Gackt once mentioned that was the only work he was proud of too ^^ I can dig up more of his instrumental titles for you if you want ^^ They're lovely ^^

*lol* i like autumn for that lazy satiated feeling. My dad loves spring cos it's lively. We're always quarelling over the cd ^^ I can never concentrate with any music other than classical though. I tend to sing ^^;;;;;;;

norah jones is not bad but i didn't like that song that was a hit, for some reason... i don't know why.. pun not intended *grin* i think i just didn't like the tune. maybe it sounded too depressing :)

i just really love her voice ^^ That entire album can put you to sleep in a jiffy *lol*

surely there ought to be some in the US... grrrr...

nah, only the brits are nuts over gothic roses ^^ I doubt you'll find it in US ^^ Just sounds wrong - black roses in US? Black Roses of Windsor sounds quite cool on the other hand *rotfl* I'm going off tangent, as usual ^^;

hmm, that's an interesting point about the looking at the screen part. i'm sure i must have had the same problem at first but i must have got over it somehow... i no longer remember having difficulty with that. too used to manipulating stuff in photoshop, i guess. oekaki is bloody hard (mainly because i can't draw, but also partly because of the time lags that happen sometimes between your end and the server end. it's a bit disconcerting to see a line appear half a second after you've moved on to somewhere else, and tends to make things not match up *grin*). but it's fun when you're bored :) i haven't touched my board in months (binge again), i'm still on this blogging/layout craze :)

*rotfl* i'm still using the good 'ol mouse for photoshop ^^;;; I'm getting quite a good control over that thing - can even draw a straight line now *lol* Maybe I should start using my tablet ^^ I agree with the time lag. That's a big peeve ^^ And also one other major reason why I refuse to use a tablet. ^^; I just unplugged my board to make way for my PDA cradle. I think I'm not gonna use it for a long time now ^^;
