Sunday, December 01, 2002WATCHED HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!! Wai~ Wai~ Wai~~~!!! \^_______^/++bishonen++ I particulaly liked the part when Lucius showed up in Hagrid's cottage with his hair loosely tied up with a -black- ribbon *swoon* He was so cute then...*swoons some more* I must be one of those rare wierdos who love him *grin* We were in the cinema, and throughout I was staring at Draco and going "You mean he's cute?" Then my friend would glare at me and go "You mean that old fogey lucius is cute?!" ^^;;; But he really is cute! He looked better than anyone else in that film! I love his icy-blue eyes. *_* And that long black cape. And that stick of his *grin* Mhat makes this film better than the first is its eye-candy *heh* Tom Riddle was cool, though his puffy hair was a little wierd ^^;;; Oliver Wood only appeared for about 10 seconds, so nothing much to say there. Harry Potter is too young, but nonetheless cute ^^V ++Ron++ *rotfl* This guy set me laughing throughout the entire show! I love the way his face alternates between "Help me!", "Why ME?" and pure terror *lol* I especially loved the part in the spiders' grove where he said "Why can't they be butterflies?" *lol* I loved Ron's owl too! Daft old bird. *rotfl* And I thought the Howler that Ron's mom sent was quite cool. ++Gilderoy Lockhart++ I was quite irritated, considering the cinema I went to cut off the little comic part after all the credits >.< Stupid cinema. I missed seeing Gilderoy on the cover of his new book entitled "Who Am I?" Damn. Oh, but I liked the picture of Gilderoy Lockhart painting Gilderoy Lockhart *lol* That speaks volumes of his vanity. A nice touch! ++The fighting scene++ I thought it was funny, the way Snape and Gilderoy were fighting each other. The final pose they made before fighting looked like very bad imitations of Wong Fei Hong (A chinese martial arts legend). That thought itself took away all the coolness from the scene. I ended up laughing uncontrollably. ++Dobby the house-elf++ He got more than a little irritating towards the end. I suppose I don't have an affinity for whiny animated things ^^;;; But I must say he was very well animated. All in all, it was a good show, with lots more eye candy ^^V But given a choice, I'd rather watch LOTR. ^^;;; I personally prefer LOTR's characters. I've always had an affinity towards tall beautiful glowing elves and not ragged looking puny house elves. *big sweatdrop* And I prefer LOTR's plot. ^^;;;;;;; That reminds me - I realised that 'Amanlothwen', my elvish name, means 'The Mother Of All Flowers' *lol* Not bad for a name eh? ++Gackt and wallpapers++ Just resized my desktop to a 1024x768 resolution, and thus went to look for pretty anime wallpapers to decorate it. And you wouldn't believe it. I couldn't find a single decent one! All the good links I had were either shut down, or the owners decided to make something else. Argh! Really regret not saving those wallpapers in 1024 resolution instead of the 800 one. *baka baka baka* If anyone finds decent bishonen/angel sanc/yami no matsuei/clamp ones, please please please tell me ^^ So, in view of the current shortage, and my frustration, I made my own. ^^;; It's this Gackt wallpaper, and I'm quite proud of the effect - it looks like one of those ancient sepia photos. And it was purely an accident. ^^;;; I was fiddling with the levels when 'Voila!' I got this really pretty effect. By the time you've read this, it should have been uploaded on Lost Dreams. Pl should be happy since I've finally made something she can use *grin* Currently in the works is a hide one for pl. I'm also trying to dig up all my old photoshop files for those old wallpapers so I can resize them ^^V ++posters++ Put up all my posters today, since the exams are over and all. ^____^V My room feels normal again, now (look: there's no visible bit of wall left. ^^;;;) Mommy's returning home tomorrow. I reckon she's going to be in for a little shock *lol* ++Morning Musume++ Gawd. ((O_O)) I stayed up to watch Music Station last night, and had the 'privilege' of watching Morning Musume perform. For the uninitiated, this is an all-girl band whose numbers vary from 10 all the way up to 30. I'm seious. And they tend to keep splitting like cells, as a dj once said - one moment they're one big group, the next they are 20 small groups etcetera etcetera etcetera. *gigantic sweatdrop* And all the girls are prepubescent, wide-eyed, and very very irritating. They are apparently all talent competition drop outs, so that explains why they all Can't. Sing. >.< The fact that they're all younger than me also irks me. Big time. ^^; So yes. Back to the actual performance. This group of about 15 people trooped to the stage dressed like the kids in the Oliver! musical. Then, when the music started, they started jumping around and shaking their heads like clockwork lemmings on crack. I'm serious. Lemmings. On. Crack. My sister got shocked into this jaw-dropping silence, while I was howling away on the sofa, so hard that I nearly fell off. Geez. You had to see it. I can't half-describe it to you. *rotfl* ++Pullman's Dark Materials Trilogy++ OOh. I'm halfway into the second book of the series, and I have to say, it's a wonderful wonderful trilogy! Though I do wonder why Pullman keeps writing about kids who've lost their parents. Otherwise, it's a great story about friendship, trust and magic. Lots and lots of magic. I love the way he mixes sci-fi and fantasy. The books are not very very long, but they seem to strike a chord within me. It's like you can really understand the characters, and I ended the first book feeling more than a little light-headed. I also came close to crying a few times, cos it was so touching. I do wonder why they put this trilogy in the children's section though. I feel it deals with issues that are a little too hard for kids to accept - themes of loss and sacrifice, and the fact that there is no happy tailor-made ending makes it more than a little unconventional for a children's book. But that's why I love it! The children in the story are all so grown-up, which makes me feel more than a little ashamed of myself *sheepish grin* Thanx stejuste for sending them to me!!!! ^______^ Heard that they're making the series into a movie!! Can't wait! ++Legolas and magazines++ You know the magazine editor is really really shrewd when he puts Legolas on the front cover of a magazine. Gosh. I succumbed and bought it immediately. He looked -that- good. *swoon* This magazine, a singaporean publication called FIRST was really cool! They had -all- the 5 LOTR posters inside. Cool. Am drooling over it now. When I last looked at the store again, there was only one copy left. Wow. There was this young girl who'd just bought it - she was clasping it tightly in her hands, and looked so haapy you could almost see the stars in her eyes *rotfl* ++Contact lenses++ I tried to put them on myself today. Took me about 20 minutes. Stupid contacts. The whole world looks a little funny now O_O ++Holiday destinations++ to pl: O_O Your brother is one lucky idiot. I want to go to prague too~~! I want to go to germany too~!!! *wails* I love that place. I love the entire Europe! I want to go to Ludwig II's castle. I want to see the Notre Dame. ARGH. ^^;;; I wish I were there...T_T My stupid father's going to germany for business. My best friend is going there for christmas. Every other person I know is going there except me. *bursts into tears* Shanghai is comparatively boring. *siigh* ++radio++ For Singaporeans, check out fm98.0 every fri night from midnight to 2am. It's a purely english rock segment, with great songs and little talk. Good stuff. stardusted at 4:37 AM | link? 0 Call me number 1!© sephirot productions 2008 |
