about me This author is from a small little dot in the SE
Asian continent. Can't quite pinpoint the location? Well you need to revise
your geography then. But it starts with an S, if you were wondering. ^^
She's currently studying in the US. Most times she's a student, always she's
a dreamer, with some jot of freak artistic talent thrown in. Magic, beauty,
and peace attracts her, as does good music and a good story. She loves slash,
and always appreciates her bishonen.
It's official. I think hardly anyone reads this stuff. *cries* Save for pl, of course, and raydance and aa. And myself. Which is a sad sad thing. *is sad* Must do something about bland layout. Am thinking of something Amano-oriented, since I love his art so much. Which reminds me. I got sick of Daniel angsting everytime I switched on my com. So I changed it to Vampire Hunter D by Amano. For folks who want it (And it's a really cool-looking one. Honestly.), you can email me. *grin*

Just read it for the third time. And it's wonderful! It's short and very simple - typical loser-hero-goes-to-seek-exotic-gift-for-beautiful-maid type of fairytale. With some slightly more mature annotations. But it's wonderful nonetheless. I haven't had this much fun reading such a 'kiddy' book since Le Petit Prince. There's many twists and it only takes 2 hours to finish, which I think busy prelim-saturated people like me would really appreciate. ^^

Did I ever mention I'm sick of this whole series?! Frankly, I think the attention it garners is not justified. At all. Compare it to masterpeices like the Chronicles of Narnia and A Wrinkle In Time. There's hardly any grounds for comparison. Besides, the magic is no fun at all. Too simple, and very cliched. I mean, not all magicians use brooms right? Boring, IMO. And I think the parents who want to ban books like these are idiots. For goodness sakes, the magic we read about is hardly even 'do-able'! They should focus their attention on disgusting sex-oriented teenage novels like Sweet-Valley. That is one series I've been treating like the plague since I could read. Honestly, the things they write in there are gross. And mindless. Which is what I've been trying to tell my sis for the past XX years. She still refuses to listen. *sigh*
