+Gackt's MOON+

I bought the japanese version, which just totally bankrupted me. *sigh* Well, I must say that the packaging was worth the money. Nice nice nice pictures. *swoon* Only gripe was i had to spend roughly 10 minutes ripping off the packaging that had 3 layers of scotch tape on it. (ok. maybe only one, but it was bad already.) That's the problem with Tower. They're paranoid about people opening their cds. Then, I spent another 10 minutes trying to figure out just how to get the cd out of the wierd looking holder. It was so wierd the manufacturer actually provided one of those illustrated how-to-open things. Only it wasn't very hepful at all. Not unless you didn't mind breaking the cd into two pieces.

As for the music, generally, it is very rock. There's not much of the old Gackt left over. I'm actually listening to the cd as I write this. So whatever I say now is essentially a first impression. The first few were mostly fast, sounded like 10 guitars screaming at the same time, and generally tuneless. Didn't really like it. Then came Wasurenai Kara. Which was a relief. And then came Soleil, which I love! Now it's Fragrance. Slow, and thankfully, good ol' gackt at his best. Death Wish is..happy. Which is wierd. It's quite mainstream, and easy on the ears. But it's still quite rock. Doomsday is like Fragrance. Wierd, slow stuff. But I think I should like it in times to come. Missing was next. It's my next favourite! Beautiful.... Rain is another slow gem. I like Gackt's slow songs. No wait. It just turned angsty-rockish. But still very enjoyable. Another World is next. I guess you know what -that- sounds like. Memories is the last track. Oooh. I like this! Happy song!!! Happy song!! ^_^ Lovely quiet end to a noisy beginning. And, AND, he's playing the piano. *swoon* Thank goodness Gackt had some sense left. General verdict - skip the 1st 2 tracks and the fourth one, and listen from there. *grin* It's worth the money, IMO. But then again, I'm biased.

*sheepish grin* I think i'd better take back what I said about Anne Rice getting worse, cos she just got better! I've just bought Blood and Gold. It's about Marius, and another vampire, Thorne. It's good. I was reading the first chapter and I'm happy with the way the story is going. I didn't know Marius was a Roman Senator, for one thing. And Thorne and Marius have a very very interesting 'thing' going on between them. (look: Thorne the i'm-so-innocent-i-don't-know-anything versus marius the i'm-so-damn-old-and-so-damn-lonely. *hentai grin*)

Gee. The Call of The Earth is good. It's got me hooked, just by reading the first chapter. Pl was right! But I wonder, why does Card keep writing about adolescent boys being bullied? Is he a closet paedeophile? (about here, pl will take a stick and bash me for insulting card i suppose. ^^;;;;)

Kino just renovated there. It's bigger, for one thing. And what was previously the manga shop has now become Absolute Comics, an english comic store. They actually have the Morpheus figurine! Gonna pester them to order the Sandman poster and the Vampire Hunter D figurine. That particular figurine is the prettiest thing i've ever seen. *grin*

Saw a snippet. Was appalled by what Lestat and the other guy looked like. Yuck. Thank goodness I didn't watch it. ^^;

I actually re-watched Angel Sanc. I didn't know they changed it so much. For example, Sarah wasn't killed by the girl, but by Katan. Which was blasphemy, IMO. Katan's sweet! And caring! He wouldn't do it!!!!!! *sheesh* And i think they cut some stuff. There was absolutely no mention on the fact that that drag queen (kurai?) was a guy. And the part where Setsuna's arm was ripped off - it looked like someone cut off the part where it was actually ripped off, and only left the before and after parts. You begin to wonder if the singapore government did something. Which is highly possible. They're probably also responsible for the next few parts taking so long to come out. I hope they don't ban it cos of incest! >.< Must borrow someone else's and check.
